Webinar with Dr Srilatha Batliwala

18th August 2022

Feminist leadership is a process of transforming ourselves, our organisations and movements, and societies at large to mirror feminist visions of social justice which embrace all people and the planet itself. It is both a journey and a destination – challenging but full of possibility!

Srilatha Batliwala is a Bangalore-based feminist activist, researcher, scholar and trainer whose four and a half decades of work has spanned grassroots movement building with marginalized urban and rural women, research and scholarly work, policy advocacy, grant-making, and capacity building of young women activists around the world. She is best known for bridging the worlds of theory and practice, and for her writing on women’s empowerment, women’s movements and feminist approaches to movement building, monitoring and evaluation, and feminist leadership. She is currently Senior Advisor, Knowledge Building, CREA, Senior Associate, Gender at Work, and Hon. Prof. of Practice, SOAS, University of London. She considers herself a feminist grandmother – both in the women’s movement, and to her four feminist grandchildren!

On the occassion of the second anniversary of GENSA, lets’ celebrate together and brainstorm on “Feminist Leadership for Transformation”.
