A Participatory Assessment of Street to School Programmes

Global Report Published by Aviva Global Plc., UK- April 2013, Author: Dr. Sarah Thomas de Benitez; Co-authors: Bijita Devsharma, Neeraja Phatak, Carlotta Zaniboni & Tara Black This global report is a product of a Participatory Assessment conducted in 4 different sites on behalf of Aviva Global plc. Conducted in 2012 and named PASSPORT 2012 – a multi-country, participatory assessement that used the developmental evaluation approach, this study captures children’s perceptions and their experiences in Aviva’s flagship Street-to School (S2S) Programme. The report aims to surface and reflect on perceptions and experiences of street-connected children in various difficult circumstances such as on the street, in juvenile homes and other such locations. Its purpose is to add value to Aviva’s current monitoring and evaluation system by involving children actively in the assessment of services they receive – consulting them as ‘end-users’ of these services. https://www.eenet.org.uk/resources/docs/Global_report_PDF_1.pdf
