WE ARE GENSA NETWORK

Gender and Equity Network South Asia or GENSA is a Special Interest Group of the Community of Evaluators South Asia (COE SA) that aims to promote an equity and gender lens in evaluations, particularly giving voice to the special challenges in addressing these issues in South Asia. The network consists of members from various countries including Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. GENSA works towards strengthening the capacity of its members to advance gender and social justice, promoting gender-responsive policies and practices, and advocating for the rights of marginalized communities in the region.

GENSA conducts research, provides training and technical assistance, and engages in advocacy efforts to bring about positive social change. Some of the key areas of focus for the network include gender-based violence, economic empowerment of women, gender norms, and promoting the rights of LGBTQIA+ communities in the region.
