GENSA in a Global South partnership for research in equity oriented evaluation: GENSA is the South Asia partner for the research process “Landscape analysis to inform international evaluation in the service of equity” coordinated by Global Change Center and Praxis Institute of Participatory Practices and implemented by outstanding Global South Partners in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The landscape analysis aims to build on the global momentum around equity-oriented evaluation by advancing the understanding of the current state of affairs relative to evaluation in international development and social justice work. The findings from this landscape will inform efforts to influence and shift power dynamics in evaluation/ international cooperation, all with the goal of helping to realize better social outcomes. Specifically, the main objectives of the landscape analysis are as follows:

1. Map the current state of demand / lack of demand for equity-oriented evaluation by commissioners of evaluation in international development and social justice work

2. Identify gaps and opportunities to increase the demand and supply of equity-oriented evaluations undertaken as part of international cooperation initiatives

3. Harvest ideas to increase the demand among international development funders that commission equity-oriented evaluations
